Slusegård's Watermill from 1800's, 2024 Photographed by Anna Diljá Sigurðardóttir.
"The Watermill (Vandmøllen) It is a typical Bornholm undershot watermill. It is built of granite stone around 1800. The wheel is a breastshot wheel, which is driven by water flowing halfway up the wheel. This means it doesn’t require a tall waterfall. The mill could be operated by one person who turned a crank to engage or disengage the machines. The belt ran across the road to a small threshing floor."- Translated from Danish
